Pada 28 Ogos 2011 seorang kanak-kanak telah mengalami kecederaan parah di kedua-dua belah tangan, kaki kiri dan sebahagian badan melecur akibat terkena arus elektrik bervoltan tinggi ketika bermain kereta mainan kawalan jauh. Dari mana arus elektrik tersebut belum dimaklumkan kepada umum, samada dari talian voltan tinggi di landasan keretapi atau dari panahan petir.
Umum , terutamanya pengguna komuter dan keretapi masih tertanya-tanya akan insiden tersebut dan apakah tindakan yang diambil oleh pihak KTM untuk mengelakkan kejadian sama berulang atau meminimakan risiko.
