Pelajar kita makin ramai gila, sakit mental, stres

Seorang pelajar tingkatan 3 yang akan menghadapi peperiksaan PMR telah dengan tiba-tiba meluru ke bilik guru untuk menyerang guru-guru dengan sebatang kayu di Sek Men Keb Indera Mahkota 2 di Kuantan, Pahang pada 29 Sep 2011 dipercayai akibat stres untuk mendapat keputusan peperiksaan yang lebih baik.

Apa nak jadi dengan sistem pelajaran di negara kita sekarang ini, semuanya hendak mengejar kecemerlangan, bukan saja pelajar yang stres , guru-guru juga stres. Kes pelajar dikurung supaya tidak ambil UPSR, mungkin guru ada salah juga, tapi pihak kementerian, guru besar dan menteri juga ada salahnya dengan terlampau mengejar anugerah sekolah cemerlang, sekolah kluster, sekolah plaster dan sebagainya.

Form 3 student attacks teachers due to PMR stress

THE stress of upcoming examinations got the better of a Form 3 student who attacked his teachers with a piece of wood in the staff room, China Press reported.

During the 12.30pm incident yesterday, the Kuantan SMK Indera Mahkota 2 student had run out of his classroom on the third floor with the wood, believed to be from a broken chair.

He reportedly had barged into the staff room on the second floor and tried to attack his teachers. However, some students and teachers stopped him.

A teacher later said that the student was believed to have suffered from depression due to the upcoming PMR examinations.

He said the student had been doing well academically and behaviourally and he had no idea what triggered the attack.
